CHILD DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATE (CDA) TRAINING

The Child Development Associate is a national credential to work in the Early Childhood Profession. In the State of Utah it qualifies you to be:

  • Child Care Center Director
  • Higher paid Child Care Professional
  • Higher paid Family Child Care Professional

Requirements to Receive CDA -- You must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Hold a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have 480 hours of experience working with children within the past five years (hours can be accumulated during training).
  • Have 120 hours of formal child care education and training within the past five years .

This training is provided through Northern Child Care Resource and Referral.
